Sew OK 2014-Day Three

IMG_5570We had the pleasure of having Carolyn Friedlander teach The Social Tote at Sew OK! Carolyn is one busy woman! She taught at the Nashville SewDown this past spring and will be teaching several classes at QuiltCon in 2015, also, her book, Savor Each Stitch was recently released! We were lucky to have her and I am forever grateful that she agreed to teach here, thank you, Carolyn!

The class was intense as their are a lot of steps, but everyone did a great job and either finished that night or completed it once getting home.

Kaitlyn won a fat quarter bundle of Carolyn’s Botanics line

Robert Kaufman Fabrics sent some excellent bundles for prizes! More pictures to come!

A big “THANK YOU” to By Annie’s for the Soft and Stable, using this makes all the difference in your totes! I must say “Thank you” to Pellon for the Shape Flex-101 and Peltex 71F, SF-101 is hands down, my favorite interfacing! I think that we all love it now!

IMG_5583I want to make one of these soon, there are more pictures of these totes on Instagram under the hashtag “sewok” or “sewokretreat.”

I had a great time seeing everyone’s projects, it’s definitely in the top 3 of things that I enjoyed most about Sew OK.

IMG_5529How about another giveaway?

Leave a comment telling me about a project that you have going right now and I’ll randomly select a winner and mail you a Social Tote pattern with Soft & Stable, Shape Flex 101, and Peltex 71!

  1. Lovely projects! I’m currently hand quilting some hexies onto Essex linen for a pouch. Looking forward to Sewtopia SLC!
